Titi Canopy Tour

A spectacular river with dramatic waterfalls is the backdrop for these platforms carefully built in the Canopy of the Rainforest. Traverse from tree to tree and platform to platform using pulleys on horizontal traverse cables, as they sail through the treetops of the tropical rainforest canopy, and over the trails far below. Expert guides assist you in this exciting journey through the different layers of the virgin rain forests and explain what's going on around you, from the time you leave the ground, until you rappel back down to the forest floor.

The main objective is to provide tourists a unique activity and ecological experience while, at the same time, helping to aid in the preservation of the world's endangered rain forests through direct financial support to conservation, education and reforestation efforts.

Everyone will travel in suspension cables from platform to platform while enjoying the Humid Tropical Forest. These cables are specially designed by expert engineers who made it one of the most wonderful and exciting adventures in Costa Rica. Our clients are equipped with high tech harnesses to ensure their safety.

All of our proffessional guides will be happy to take you to the Primary and Secondary Forest where you can enjoy different types of animals, birds, insects and plants.

TTiti Canopy Tour has 16 platforms, 4 of which are build on the ground and 12 hang 90 feet in the air. Each hanging platform is secured to robust trees ranging from 100 to 200 years old.

Each platform is made with stainless steel cables and solid metal platform. The cables are ½ inch thick and tightly secured to trees. Each platform is designed to hold up to 2000 lbs or 10 people.

Titi Canopy Tours use only the best harnesses which can hold up to 3000 kilograms as well as the leach from which they hang from the rollers that slide through the cables.
