Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve undoubtedly constitutes one of the natural sanctuaries with the most diversity in Costa Rica...Monteverde's cloud forest is the home to hundreds of species-some of which are endemic-that will delight nature lovers. There are many activities to do in Monteverde, including exotic bird watching like the Quetzal, nature picture taking, hiking through the cloud forest, horseback riding through natural trails, canopy in the primary forest, visits to a huge butterfly farm, hiking through natural trails and floating bridges.

Turning right at the Lagarto river, and leaving behind the Pan American highway, you will begin your trip to the highlands of Monteverde Biological Reserve. As we go up the tortuous road, vegetation becomes greener, temperature drops slightly and fog gracefully lies over the trees of the cloud forest.

Founded during 70's by a group of American Quakers, and sank into an exceptionally beautiful natural zone, the town of Monteverde has become one of the most widely known in Costa Rica.

By just arriving, the magic of the zone will captivate you the tranquility of its roads, the kindness of its people, the pure air, and the nature around the place it is like being in a different world. The emotion would be indescribable early in the morning, as soon as you open the door in your room, fog will get inside flooding your room with the coolness of the morning.
